The Future of Work is Human – Big Tent

-

The Future of Work Big Tent – scheduled for 12th October 2016 – is now less than one week away.
Laying the foundations for discussion, in the video below Margaret Heffernan, author of Wilful Blindness and A Bigger Prize, shares her thoughts on education, her big wish for the future and why it’s so important to cultivate an “all hands on deck” attitude to this debate.

See above or click here to watch the video.

In addition to hearing from Luke Johnson, Zoe Williams, Lynda Gratton, Adrian Chiles, Sir Ian Cheshire, Tristram Hunt, Amanda Mackenzie, Jan Gooding and a terrific line up of speakers and provocateurs, participants can join in the discussion on one of fifteen conversation tables.

Table discussion ‘themes’ include: “Voice” (led by Paul Nowak, Assistant General Secretary for TUC), “Policy” (led by John Gibson, Strategy Projects for No.10), “Equality” (led by Hannah Peaker, Chief of Staff for the Women’s Equality Party) or “Love” (led by Professor Roger Steare, The Corporate Philosopher). Other tables include “Good Robots” and “Bad Robots“, “Gigging“, “Globalisation“, “Education“, “Power” and “Joy” – among others. Set up as big discussion, participants at the Big Tent can choose a subject that ignites their passion, or simply jump in.

More updates and documentations of discussions at the event to follow!
