Forget social networks, think social impact

by .

In her recent TEDx Talk, Sanofi Pasteur’s Celine Schillinger shares an inspiring story of how social networks were used as a tool for real social impact.

Drawing on the example of Sanofi Pasteur’s fight against Dengue in Asia and Latin America, Celine shows how using social network as a powerful tool to connect stakeholders, help them collaborate, participate and have active conversations, led to behaviour change and a real impact on the affected communities.

Quoting Robert Phillips (“networks and coalitions, not hierarchies, are the business models of the future: collaboration, not control; thinkers, not technocrats”), Celine demonstrates how adopting this new model (as opposed to “pushing a message”) led to a positive transformation, and a real change in legacy for both the organisation and the communities.
