Today sees the launch of a report on the future of tax that breaks the rules about how companies and even their most arch critics can work constructively together.
Robert and Neal advised KPMG on the process of helping determine its tax purpose - which arrived at the concept of 'responsible tax for the common good'. The engagement project tests ideas and involves all voices - however critical - in a shared debate in which reciprocal vulnerability between corporations and campaigners has helped establish the basis for trust. The report, published by the visual think tank CoVi, is just a staging post in an ongoing journey to determine the moral and practical issues around a better tax system.
