As the Coronavirus crisis escalates, like others, we are of course keeping a close eye on advice from the Government and Public Health England that might affect our events and activities.
Our first priority is to ensure the health and safety of the Jericho team and community while maintaining business continuity during this extraordinary, challenging and uncertain time.
At present, our current programmes will continue – though some planned events will inevitably go “virtual” in the near-term. Initiatives have been put in place to ensure these programmes are supplemented and strengthened by other means (films, articles, podcasts), wherever possible.
In summary, we are taking the following active steps to minimise the impact of the virus on staff, clients and collaborators:
- Investigating ways to take many of our physical gatherings online; we will be in touch with anyone who is registered to attend an affected event
- Not convening non-essential gatherings during this period – and offering alternative/ virtual attendance
- Continuing to share interesting programme news and content plus Opinion pieces with our communities – via our newsletters, podcasts and reports
- Jericho’s staff will be working remotely, where possible, and we are – like others – encouraging Zoom/ Skype meetings.
We will update this note as the situation develops and our programme of activities eventually returns to normal. Do let us know if you or your organisation would prefer us to work with you in a certain way during this time, so we can be mindful of your needs.
