Sam is a transformation engine driven by his belief in more than profit business models and their power to deliver commercial and social returns. He’s founded and led ten startups over 20 years, from the youth-culture-defining and BAFTA and Cannes-award winning; Don’t Panic through to Livity, the international youth agency that helped redefine the marketing industry by proving it’s Purpose First model, as well as Dubplate Drama the hit TV show that made multi-platform interactivity a reality. Sam’s worked closely and at senior level on brand and business purpose with clients from Google, Facebook, Cabinet Office, Unilever, Playstation, John Lewis, NSPCC, Red Bull, Dyson and much more for whom he applies his particular skill of developing purpose-led innovation and solutions.

Sam is Chief Purpose Officer at Livity, NED of Livity Africa, Chair of Generation Change and is the author of Be More Pirate, a survival guide for 21st Century disruption based on the strategic successes of 18th Century Pirates, out on Penguin Random House May 2018.
